Most Anticipated Games for 2015

I’ve recently discussed how quickly my gaming backlog is growing and with this long list of games, it will grow even larger in 2015. These are the games I’m most looking forward to this year. They’re not in any special order until the last three, which are my three most anticipated games.

Last year, I pre-ordered/pledged to buy the PS4 version of Kingdom Come. They sold me on their pitch to have an RPG set in Medieval Times. No magic. Just history. I love magic, but I think this will be a very cool change of pace! I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up coming out in Q1 2016, but I’m going to assume it’s Q4 2015 for the sake of this list.

I told y’all how much I loved the first episode of the new Game of Thrones game in my last post. I obviously can’t wait for the rest of the season to come out this year! It might be Telltale’s best yet and that’s saying A LOT.

I’m not playing Tales from the Borderlands, as I don’t play Borderlands. Same story regarding the Minecraft: Story Mode whenever it comes out. But, if The Wolf Among Us or The Walking Dead get new seasons this year, they definitely belong on this list.

King’s Quest VI was one of my first experiences with computer/video games and the adventure I experienced while playing it has stuck with me ever since. I played several other from the series, but VI was my favorite and enough to make me love the series and look forward to the revival of the series this year!

The Elder Scrolls Online Other Logo

I’ve been waiting to play TESO for quite a while now. I guess it hasn’t been THAT long of a wait, but it seems longer since the PS4 version was supposed to release along with the PC version in April last year. With the delay nearing a year, I just hope that it’s a polished, and fun game when it does finally release. I don’t mind waiting longer for a game, as long as the devs make the wait worthwhile. Free to play would be nice too, but I’ll still play it either way. I know the PC version has gotten a lot of criticism, but I don’t really care. I’m a big fan of The Elder Scrolls and I want to play this game on my PS4. End of story.

Rime looks like the sort of game I’ve been waiting to come to PlayStation. There’s definitely a Legend of Zelda vibe there and I dig it.

Apparently, the next Assassin’s Creed game is called Victory, and is set in Victorian London. That sounds really cool and I’m a big enough fan to keep coming back every year. As a side note, Victorian London could be a perfect chance for a female Assassin to get the playable character spot. In Liberation, Aveline had three different sets of outfits that she could wear: slave, dress, and assassin. Well, I don’t think there were any slaves in Victorian London, but I think the dress disguise would work really well. Also, I’m pretty sure that feminism started it’s first big push during that era. That could tie in well with the story. But…I suspect it’ll star just another generic white guy. Actually, now that I’ve gone and watched the leaked video, it definitely looks like it IS another generic white guy. Lol.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Art

There’s a line through Rise of the Tomb Raider, because I probably won’t get to play it in 2015, thanks to the XBO (timed?) exclusivity deal. If it does ever come to the PS4, then I’ll be excited to play it…

Life is Strange is an upcoming episodic timey-wimey game from Square Enix. The premise and trailer won me over. Hopefully it’s as good as it looks like it is.

Star Wars Battlefront Logo

I’m hyped about Star Wars this year. I can’t wait for anything and everything that they come out with leading up to Star Wars VII!! So, obviously I’m also hyped about Star Wars: Battlefront. What little I’ve seen from the new Battlefront looks awesome. I also hope to see some news about the other Star Wars games that EA Games is working on, even if they’re not coming out this year.

Zelda Logo

I might actually buy a Wii U for the new Legend of Zelda game. Or I might just borrow my brother’s Wii U to play it. I’m not sure right now. But either way, I will be playing Legend of Zelda this year!

batman arkham knight art

I pre-ordered the Arkham Knight Limited Edition back in September. Safe to say I’m looking forward to it.

uncharted 4

Uncharted is one of my favorite games series of all time. I can’t wait to see how it all ends, assuming A Thief’s End really is the last game in the series. I’m sure it will be a fantastic game, because Naughty Dog has built that reputation. They’re one of my favorite devs!

No Man’s Sky is my number three most anticipated game. If it’s as good as it looks, it will be one of my all time favorites. Can’t wait.

Mass Effect Trilogy PS3

I’m hoping that Mass Effect Trilogy will come to the PS4 this year. There’s been some hinting, but nothing official. I’m fine with playing it on my PS3, but a remastered HD version on my PS4 would be AMAZING. My prediction is that they are working on it, it will come out this year, but the last game on my list won’t come out until next year.

Mass Effect LogoOf course, Mass Effect 4 is my most anticipated game of 2015. All of my regular readers know that. I don’t think it’s actually coming out this year, but a man can dream, can’t he? Still, I do want the best game possible, so if I only get the remastered trilogy in 2015, I’ll still be a happy gamer!

  1. You’re looking forward to ESO? Are you an Elder Scrolls fan? If so you’ll most likely be very disappointed with that game. I played the beta a bunch of times and brought the game for $20 a few months ago. I played it for 10 days and quit. It’s horrible imo.

I will never play another Uncharted game. They’re all terrible imo. I honestly don’t have a reason to buy a PS4 right now. It has nothing that I want. I have the entire Mass Effect Trilogy. I’m not sure if I’m getting the next Mass Effect game just yet. I’m going to wait and see.

  2. Here are some games I’m looking forward to.

    Dark Souls II [Xbox One]
The Witcher 3 [PC, and Xbox One]

and that’s it for right now.

  3. you sir, you know your s&%, this is an obviuos but precise list, we need mass effect, it been almost 3 years, come on bioware, at least the HD trilogy will be awesome
